Congress
Congreso In 1999, Professor Vecino was President of the Organizing Committee of the First Congress of Acupuncture Interuniversity Spanish, held in Zaragoza. The conference coincided in its development with the Third European Congress of Acupuncture. The level reached in Congress, both by the number of participants, as guest speakers, was a "milestone"never before achieved in our country. Attended by speakers representing most European universities, which at that moment taught acupuncture. Besides Spanish universities (Seville, Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, Granada and Zaragoza), were represented countries like Italy, France, Austria, Aemania, Ireland, England, England, Finland, Belgium and Portugal. To those who joined, prof. Omura (USA) and prof. Kang Shou Lu (China)
Proyects
Osteosítesis en Conejos Professor Vecino-Ferrer, is linked to research since 1993 through different projects and work within the University of Zaragoza.

His doctoral thesis "Aportaciones al estudio estructural y ultraestructural de la arteria lingual humana" (Contributions to the structural and ultrastructural study of human lingual artery)-July 1995. He got the qualification of Fit "CumLaude". This was his first serious encounter with the world renowned research.

He collaborates with the Department of Animal Pathology, Veterinary School, where he develops research projects on acupuncture. It is especially important, "the study on the effect of acupuncture on calcium metabolism". This has enabled significant advances in the application of this technique in the treatment of diseases such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

Publications
Libro Result of their teaching and research, Dr. Vecino has exhibited his experience and knowledge in different publications. Both books, as articles in various scientific journals, are his contribution to the disclosure and teaching of acupuncture.

His first book is "AcupunturaTradicional China" (Mira editors). It corresponds to the result of more than 20,000 teaching hours in acupuncture, and it serves text-guide for their students, in the second year of Master of Acupuncture from the University of Zaragoza. In his day, was the leader in Spanish, the techniques of diagnosis and differential diagnosis in acupuncture for many Spanish-speaking acupuncturists.
