Proyects
Professor Vecino-Ferrer, is linked to research since 1993 through different projects and work within the University of Zaragoza.

His doctoral thesis "Aportaciones al estudio estructural y ultraestructural de la arteria lingual humana" (Contributions to the structural and ultrastructural study of human lingual artery)-July 1995. He got the qualification of Fit "CumLaude". This was his first serious encounter with the world renowned research.

He collaborates with the Department of Animal Pathology, Veterinary School, where he develops research projects on acupuncture. It is especially important, "the study on the effect of acupuncture on calcium metabolism". This has enabled significant advances in the application of this technique in the treatment of diseases such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

He is a Research Associate included in the Research Group "LaborPrima Virtus" attached to the Zaragoza University. Within this group, has conducted the first research project in Acupuncture, funded by the Ministry of Research and Universities of Spain (CONSI + D). The theme of the work relates, again, with diseases of the osteoarticular apparatus and more specifically with calcium metabolism.

Dr. Vecino was invited in 2005 to present the results of these studies, Department of Medical Rehabilitation Research Center of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland (USA), one of the most prestigious research centers of world.

Results of their research work, has become the world leader in the treatment with acupuncture in musculoskeletal pathology.
